• They are built to Organic Standards and use all natural materials (Sustainable Timber, Natural Latex, Horsehair, Coconut Coir, Viscil, Organic Cotton and Organic Wool) in their construction

About the Divan Bed

How is the Divan Bed Made?

• This Organic Divan Bed has a FSC Certified solid timber frame which is then topped off with a spring unit. The unit is insulated with coir fibre and the whole frame is then wrapped in a mixture of Organic Wool and Visil to meet UK Fire Regulations without using chemicals. All this is then covered in 100% Organic Cotton giving you a Chemical Free Divan Bed for your bedroom
• Supplied on castors for ease of cleaning underneath
• Standard headboard fittings supplied

• The Sprung Top works in conjunction with your Mattress to give extra support and prolong the life of your Mattress
• The Divan Bed is available with or without drawers. The drawers can come in many different variations to fit how your bedroom is set out. If you order the with drawers option we will be in touch to find out how you would like them to be configure

About the Latex?Horsehair Mattress

What is a Latex/Horsehair Mattress?

• The Horsehair is mixed with Natural Latex to create a 6cm deep pad, it is then joined with a 6cm pad of Natural Latex that creates a supportive sleep surface
• Natural Latex comes from the Hueva (rubber tree). The latex we use come from Organic Rubber Trees in Sri Lanka and is certified by a leading European Body as being chemical free
• A Natural Latex and Horsehair Mattress is metal free
• No Turn, you sleep on the Latex side of the Mattress
• The Mattress has a firmer feel to it than a Latex only Mattress 

How are they Made?

• They are manufactured by hand in the UK and this mattress has not attained full Organic status yet with the Soil Association but it is currently going through the process.
  However all the components that go into it are certified Organic
• We use the Dunlop method of production, where the Latex is poured into a mould. This method allows us to control the procedure better, ensuring the production process is not contaminated by chemicals
• To meet UK fire regulations (BS 7177) without the use of chemical fireproofing the latex/horsehair pad is wrapped in Organic Welsh Wool making it naturally fire retardant. It is then covered with an Organic Herringbone Cover
• Horsehair has been traditionally used in mattress making because it is hard wearing and helps the mattress breathe. Once it is mixed with the natural latex it holds its shape well and has a natural bounce

• The Organic Divan Bed is available in two depths, 30cm and 36cm. This makes the Bed and Mattress either 43cm or 49cm in height
• 5 Year Manufacturers Guarantee on the Divan Bed and a 1 year Guarantee on the Mattress

• Due to the inconsistant nature of the colour of Organic Cotton there may be some differences between the colour of the Divan Bed and the Mattress

Delivery Information

• We offer a 2 man delivery service on this product, who will take the Mattress and Divan Bed to the room of your choice
  We can offer an AM or PM delivery service and will ring you an hour before we are due to deliver, so you are not sat at home waiting for us to arrive
• The Mattresses and Divan Beds are made to order, and take about 3-4 Weeks to make lovingly by hand. When they are ready we will call you, and delivery should be 7-10 Days after that
