• The Divan Beds are built to Organic Standards and use all natural materials (Sustainable Timber Organic Wool, Viscil and Organic Cotton) in their construction
• The Divan Bed uses a mixture of Organic Wool and Visil (a biodegradeable fabric made from Wood and Sand, which is very soft) to allow it to meet Fire Regulations without the need for chemical fire retardants. The Mattress uses Borax to meet the same fire regulations without using harmful chemicals

About the Divan Bed  

How is the Divan Bed Made?  

• This Organic Divan Bed has a FSC Certified solid timber frame which is then topped off with a spring unit. The unit is insulated with coir fibre and the whole frame is then wrapped in a mixture of Organic Wool and Visil to meet UK Fire Regulations without using chemicals. All this is then covered in 100% Organic Cotton giving you a Chemical Free Divan Bed for your bedroom
• Supplied on castors for ease of cleaning underneath
• Standard headboard fittings supplied  

Anything Else?  

• The Sprung Top works in conjunction with your Mattress to give extra support and prolong the life of your Mattress
• The Divan Bed is available with or without drawers. The drawers can come in many different variations to fit how your bedroom is set out. Please give us a call to discuss how you would like your drawers configurated
• Available in two depths, 30cm and 36cm, giving total depths of 47cm and  53cm

What is an Open Sprung Mattress?

• An Open Sprung Mattress is also known as an Open Coil Mattress or a Bonnell Mattress
• All the Springs in the Mattress move as one, it is a very durable spring system and the Borax Cotton provides a supportive surface on which to snooze
• This Mattress has a medium feel to it, which comes from it having a 13.5 gauge spring unit and borax infused cotton filling  

How are they Made? 

• The Mattresses are handmade in the UK by a company who have over 80 years experience of making mattresses out of the finest natural materials
• The Open Spring Unit is wrapped in Borax infused Cotton, to meet fire regulations and add softness to the sleep surface.This is then covered in 100% Organic brushed Cotton
• The Mattress has taped edges, which are made especially by the manufactuer for this Mattress, using the Borax infused Cotton

Delivery Information  

• We offer a 2 man delivery service on this product, who will take the Mattress to the room of your choice
• We can offer an AM or PM delivery service and will ring you an hour before we are due to deliver, so you are not sat at home waiting for us to arrive
• The Mattresses are made to order, and take about 3-4 Weeks to make lovingly by hand. When the Mattress is ready we will call you, and delivery should be 7-10 Days after that
