What makes this Mattess and Divan Bed Chemical Free

• They are built to Organic Standards and use all natural materials (Sustainable Timber, Coconut Fibre, Natural Latex, Visil, Organic Cotton and Wool) in their construction
• They both use a mixture of Organic Wool and Viscil (a biodegradeable fabric made from Wood and Sand, which is very soft) that allows it to meet Fire Regulations without the need for chemical fire retardants

About the Divan Bed

How is the Divan Bed Made?

• This Organic Divan Bed has a FSC Certified solid timber frame which is then topped off with a spring unit. The unit is insulated with coir fibre and the whole frame is then wrapped in a mixture of Organic Wool and Visil to meet UK Fire Regulations without using chemicals. All this is then covered in 100% Organic Cotton giving you a Chemical Free Divan Bed for your bedroom
• Supplied on castors for ease of cleaning underneath
• Standard headboard fittings supplied

• The Sprung Top works in conjunction with your Mattress to give extra support and prolong the life of your Mattress
• The Divan Bed is available with or without drawers. The drawers can come in many different variations to fit how your bedroom is set out. Please give us a call to discuss how you would like your drawers configurated
• Available in two depths, 30cm and 36cm

About the Mattress

 What is a Pocket Sprung Mattress?    

• A Pocket Sprung Mattress has a spring unit where each individual spring moves independently, unlike the traditional open sprung unit, where all the springs move as one
• Because of this a Pocket Sprung Mattress feels denser and more supportive than an Open Sprung Mattress and is perfect if you and your partner are different weights. It also prevent roll together, giving you an undisturbed night's sleep
• It offers support where you need it most, round the bottom of your back and your neck and shoulders. It will gently cushion those heavier areas of your body, because the springs move with the contours of your body  
• There are 1500 Springs in the Pocket Unit (150x200cm Mattress), giving you the Ultimate Sleep Surface

How are they Made?  

• The Mattresses are handmade in the UK by a company who have over 80 years experience of making mattresses out of the finest natural materials
• The Mattress is made in layers around the Pocket Sprung Unit, the first of which is a layer of Coir (coconut) Fibre, that protects the springs and acts as an insulator. We then place in a layer of Natural Latex (that is made up of 97% Natural Latex and 3% Minerals that help it bind) which adds comfort deep in the Mattress. Organic Wool goes on top of the Natural Latex, adding softness and helping the Mattress to meet fire regulations. The layer of Visil tops off the Mattress, like the Wool it helps the Mattress meet Fire Regulations and offer a supportive surface to sleep on. The Mattress is then wrapped in 100% Organic brushed Cotton and is finished off with 2 rows of Organic Cotton hand stitching.  The Mattress has taped edges, which are made especially by the manufactuer for this Mattress, using Organic materials

• Depth-The Mattress is approximately 23cm and the Divan Bed can be either approximately 30cm (giving a total of 53cm) or 36cm (giving a total of 59cm), depending on how high you want the total bed.

Delivery Information  

• We offer a 2 man delivery service on this product, who will take the Mattress and Divan Bed to the room of your choice
• We can offer an AM or PM delvery service and will ring you an hour before we are due to deliver, so you are not sat at home waiting for us to arrive
• The Mattresses and Divan Beds are made to order, and take about 3-4 Weeks to make lovingly by hand. When they are ready we will call you, and delivery should be 7-10 Days after that
