What makes the Mattress Organic? 

• The materials (Wool and Cotton) that go into this Organic Mattressuse traditional farming techniques that shun fertilisers, chemicals and herbicides, pesticides and fungicides
• These Mattresses are filled with Organic Welsh Wool, which is naturally fire retardant and allows us to meet UK fire regulations (BS 7177) without the use of chemical fireproofing

What is a Latex/Horsehair Mattress? 

• The Horsehair is mixed with Natural Latex to create a 6cm deep pad, it is then joined with a 6cm pad of Natural Latex that creates a supportive sleep surface
• Natural Latex comes from the Hueva (rubber tree). The latex we use come from Organic Rubber Trees in Sri Lanka and is certified by a leading European Body as being chemical free
• A Natural Latex and Horsehair Mattress is metal free
•  As it has no springs it is totally silent
• No Turn, you sleep on the Latex side of the Mattress

How are they Made?

• The mattresses are manufactured by Hand in South Wales and this mattress has not attained full Organic status yet with the Soil Association. However all the components that go into it are certified Organic
• We use the Dunlop method of production, where the latex is poured into a mould. This method allows us to control the procedure better, ensuring the production process is not contaminated by chemicals
• To meet UK fire regulations (BS 7177) without the use of chemical fireproofing the latex/horsehair pad is wrapped in Organic Welsh Wool making it naturally fire retardant. It is then covered with an Organic Herringbone Cover
• Horsehair has been traditionally used in mattress making because it is hard wearing and helps the mattress breath. Once it is mixed with the natural latex it holds its shape well and has a natural bounce

Delivery Information 

• As standard we offer a one man delivery service on this product free of charge, who deliver to your door but will not be able to bring it into your house. They can deliver anytime between 9-5, but we are able to ask them to ring before they deliver to ensure you are in to receive the delivery
• For an additional charge there are other delivery options available on this product. The options available are delivery before 9.30, delivery before 12 and weekend delivery. We can also offer a two man delivery service on this product, who will take the mattress to the room of your choice. These options do not appear when you place your order and if you wish to take advantage of them please give us a ring
