What makes the Abaca Snowdon Mattress Organic?

• The materials (Wool and Cotton) that go into our Organic Mattresses use traditional farming techniques that shun fertilisers, chemicals and herbicides, pesticides and fungicides
• Our Mattresses are filled with Organic Welsh Wool, which is naturally fire retardant and allows us to meet UK fire regulations (BS 7177) without the use of chemical fire proofing

• Because of this, a Pocket Sprung Mattress feels denser and more supportive than an Open Coil Mattress and is perfect if you and your partner are different weights
• We offer the Mattress with Standard and Firm options. Unfortunately in the Bedding Industry there are no set guidelines on firmness of Mattresses, so one company's firm may be another’s standard. We would advise that if you and your partner are heavy, a firm mattress may be a better option. Please ring if you wish to discuss this further with us

How Are They Made?

• The mattresses are manufactured by hand in South Wales
  
• This mattress is accredited by the Soil Association, meaning every single process in the manufacture of the mattress you buy has been checked by them
• The Mattress is made in layers around a large number of strong cotton pockets each of which holds a metal spring. Around these are layers of cotton to protect the springs, on top of which is a layer of 1,000 gsm of double-needled Organic Wool for strength and durability. Around that are two layers of lightly needled Organic Wool for warmth and comfort, and a final wrap-around layer of Organic Wool for a final layer of luxury. Finally, the whole mattress is covered in an Organic cotton cover

• We are now able to offer a 180cm Zip & Link model, which allows you to make your Super King Size Mattress into two Single Beds. We can make the Mattress of standard firmness, a firm or a mix of both. Please order on the right and we will be in touch to discuss how you would like your mattress constructed

Delivery Information

• As standard we offer a one man delivery service on this product free of charge, who deliver to your door but will not be able to bring it into your house. They can deliver anytime between 9am-5pm, but we are able to ask them to ring before they deliver to ensure you are in to receive the delivery
• For an additional charge there are other delivery options available on this product. The options available are delivery before 9.30am, delivery before 12noon and weekend delivery. We can also offer a two man delivery service on this product, who will take the mattress to the room of your choice. These options do not appear when you place your order and if you wish to take advantage of them please give us a ring
